About Me

Hi, I'm Dylan. I'm a fifth year physic PhD student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I study the most violent and energetic explosions in the universe known as gamma-ray bursts. Although my research is in astrophysics, most of my day-to-day consists of software development. Speaking of which, I'm also a software engineer for the world's second largest global robotic telescope network, Skynet, and for the national defense company Applied Research Associates.

I've been studying Japanese for the last two years and I plan to continue studying it. I'm able to have casual conversations with Japanese speakers, though my recall time is fairly slow so it takes me a while to actually say what I'm thinking. I studied Arabic for a couple years as well, but I haven't used it in quite some time.
